What you bring to the table
At Blue Ocean, we’re looking for a Functional Analyst who gets energy from translating complex problems into clear functional solutions.
In this role, you are the link between the business and the development team. You analyze user needs, model processes, and write clear functional specifications that serve as the foundation for our software applications.
You’ll work on projects in various sectors, where usability, efficiency, and innovation are central. You ensure that everyone — from client to developer — shares the same understanding of what needs to be built.
With a few years of experience, you know how to translate requirements into wireframes, process flows, and functional documents. You remain involved throughout development and testing, making sure everything aligns with the original objectives.
Requirements
What you bring
A bachelor’s or master’s degree in a relevant field (IT, applied computer science, business administration, etc.)
At least 2 years of experience as a functional analyst or in a similar role
Skilled at creating functional analyses and modeling processes (e.g., using BPMN or UML)
Proficient in drafting wireframes, user stories, and acceptance criteria
Able to communicate technical concepts clearly to non-technical stakeholders
You work in a structured way, document thoroughly, and are solution-oriented
You understand how software development works and enjoy working with developers and testers
